NCST and JDST 2026
1. Exam Schedule & Key Timings
Test centres: list of JNVs assigned as Test centres along with number of appearing students is enclosed for both NCST and JDST Exam.
Reporting Time: Students must enter the computer lab or exam classroom before 10:15 AM.
Exam Time: 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM
Mode: The test will be conducted online, and students may use a desktop, laptop, tablet, or mobile phone.

Exam Credentials: The list of students, their exam login credentials (NCST/JDST Roll Number & Date of Birth), and the assigned exam date have been emailed to all schools.
Please share login credentials only with the respective student. Do not display them publicly on a notice board.Students must log in using their NCST/JDST Roll Number and Date of Birth, and then download the test from:

Attendance verification must be completed between 11:30 AM and 12:30 PM on:

Students can submit the exam only after attendance is marked.
Students not present at the exam centre must be marked Absent.
After completing the test, students must submit their exam either online by themselves or offline through the invigilator using the QR code.
2. General Instructions:
There is no admit card required this year. Students must bring their school ID or Aadhaar card to the exam hall.
Students must appear for the exam only on their assigned date. No changes or rescheduling are accepted.
Additionally, a few Class XII students from nearby government schools in your district will appear for the JDST exam on December 14, 2025. They will bring their own mobile phones for the test.
An NVS CoE Selection Test (NCST) representative is appointed to assist in conducting the exam. S/he will arrive at your school by 8:00 AM on December 14, 2024.
3. Centre Preparation & Technical Requirements (for Schools)
Seating & Invigilation
Computer lab: 1 student per system
Classrooms: 20 students per room
1 invigilator per 20 students
Mixed seating for Class X & XII.
Device & Internet Readiness
Ensure devices are working and powered (charging for laptops/tablets).
Internet is needed only at login and submission.
Students must not switch browser windows during the exam.

4. Mock Test & NCST 2026 Format:
The duration of the tests will be 3-hrs. The test will consist of MCQ format questions in each of the following sections. There is a total of 25 questions each in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Logical Reasoning, and 50 questions in Biology:
Section 1: Logical Reasoning | Section 2: Mathematics/Biology | Section 3: Physics | Section 4: Chemistry
Each right answer is awarded 5 marks, and 2 marks is deducted for every wrong answer. Engineering Aspirants to attempt Mathematics and Medical aspirants to attempt Biology. A candidate is required to attain positive marks in each subject.

Note : Special Note for the NEET aspirants from the following states: Assam, Delhi. If you are selected for JNV Pune CoE, you will remain eligible only for AIlMS, 15% All India Quota seats in GMC, and Open seats. And will not be eligible for 85% Home state quota because your Class-XII passing state will change to Maharashtra. So, you MUST check the eligibility criteria and rethink your decision for JEE/NEET coaching.
