About MHT-CET

The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET) is a state-level entrance examination conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Government of Maharashtra, for admission to various Undergraduate professional courses in Engineering, Pharmacy, and allied disciplines offered by colleges in Maharashtra.

Exam Pattern

  • Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) or Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB)

  • Mode: Computer-Based Test (CBT)

  • Duration: 3 hours

  • Question Format: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)

  • Marking Scheme: +1 mark for Physics/Chemistry and +2 marks for Mathematics (no negative marking)

Eligibility Criteria (UG – Brief)

  • Candidates should have passed or be appearing in Class XII (10+2) from a recognized board.

  • For Engineering & Technology courses, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) are mandatory.

  • For Pharmacy courses, eligibility will be as per official norms.

  • Domicile and reservation conditions will be applicable as per Government of Maharashtra rules.
