Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced)

JEE Advanced is the second stage of the JEE system and the sole prerequisite for admission to the Bachelorโ€™s, Integrated Masterโ€™s, and Dual Degree programs at all 23 Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). It is globally recognized for its extreme difficulty and unpredictable question patterns.

  • Foreign National Registration: Starts 06 April 2026

  • Indian National Registration: Starts 23 April 2026

  • Last Date to Register: 02 May 2026

  • Admit Card Release: 11 May 2026

  • Examination Date: 17 May 2026 (Sunday)

  • Result & Final Answer Key: 01 June 2026

๐ŸŽ“ Eligibility Criteria

  • JEE Main Performance: You must be among the top 2,50,000 successful candidates (across all categories) in JEE Main 2026 Paper 1.

  • Age Limit: Born on or after October 1, 2001 (5-year relaxation for SC/ST/PwD).

  • Number of Attempts: Maximum of two times in two consecutive years.

  • Class 12 Appearance: Must have appeared for the first time in either 2025 or 2026 with PCM.

  • Prior IIT Admission: If you have previously accepted a seat at an IIT, you are NOT eligible to appear again.

๐Ÿ“ Exam Pattern (CBT Mode)

The exam is famous for having a dynamic pattern that is only revealed when you open the test.

  • Papers: Two mandatory 3-hour papers (Paper 1 and Paper 2) conducted on the same day.

  • Paper 1 Timing: 09:00 AM โ€“ 12:00 PM

  • Paper 2 Timing: 02:30 PM โ€“ 05:30 PM

  • Question Types: Includes Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with one or more correct options, Numerical Answer Types, Matching Lists, and Comprehension-based questions.

  • Marking Scheme: Varies annually; usually features Partial Marking (for multi-correct questions) and Negative Marking for incorrect guesses.

  • Female Candidates (All Categories): โ‚น1,600

  • SC, ST, and PwD Candidates: โ‚น1,600

  • All Other Candidates (General/OBC): โ‚น3,200
