Online Registration Starts: 12 February 2026

B.SDS Registration Period: 28 April β 28 May 2026
Admit Card Release: 3rd Week of April 2026
Examination Date: 10 May 2026 (Sunday)

π Programs & Eligibility
B.Stat (Hons) / B.Math (Hons): * Eligibility: 10+2 passed with Mathematics and English.
Stipend: βΉ5,000 per month.
B.SDS (Hons) - New: * Eligibility: 10+2 (2025/2026) with Maths/Applied Maths and English; minimum 75% aggregate.
M.Stat / M.Math / MSQE:
Eligibility: Bachelorβs degree (3+ years) in any discipline with a strong background in Mathematics/Statistics.
Stipend: βΉ8,000 per month.
M.Tech (CS / CrS / QROR):
Eligibility: B.E./B.Tech or Master's in relevant fields.
Note: Valid GATE qualifiers (usually above 750/1000) may be exempt from the written test and called directly for an interview.
π Exam Pattern (Offline OMR + Subjective)
The exam is famously divided into two sessions on the same day:
Session 1 (Forenoon): Objective type (MCQs).
Code: UGA (for UG) / MMA (for Math) / PEA (for Economics).
Marking: +4 for correct, -1 for incorrect, +1 for unattempted questions.
Session 2 (Afternoon): Descriptive/Subjective problems.
Code: UGB (for UG) / MMB (for Math) / PEB (for Economics).
Marking: Marks are awarded for correct reasoning and steps (partial credit).

OBC-NCL / EWS / SC / ST / PwD: βΉ750
ποΈ Special Admission Channels
INMO Channel: Candidates selected for the International Mathematical Olympiad Training Camp (IMOTC) through INMO 2025 or 2026 can bypass the written test for B.Stat/B.Math and appear directly for the interview.
Direct Admission (PG): Students who have completed B.Stat (Hons) or B.Math (Hons) from ISI with a high enough score get direct admission to M.Stat/M.Math.

Pro-Tip for 2026: If you are applying for B.Stat/B.Math, remember that the UGA (MCQ) marks are used as a filter. Your UGB (Subjective) paper is only evaluated if you cross a certain threshold in the MCQ section. Therefore, accuracy in the first session is your absolute priority.
