Indian Council of Agricultural Research Admissions

ICAR AIEEA is a national-level entrance system managed by the National Testing Agency (NTA). It provides admission to 15%–20% of seats in Bachelor's degree programs and 25%–100% of seats in Master's and Doctoral programs across 75+ Agricultural Universities in India.

🎓 Undergraduate Admissions (CUET ICAR-UG 2026)

Admission to all 13 Bachelor’s degree programs (like B.Sc. Hons. Agriculture, Horticulture, and B.Tech. Agricultural Engineering) is now conducted through CUET UG.

  • Registration Status: CLOSED. The application window closed on February 4, 2026.

  • Exam Dates: Scheduled between May 11 and May 31, 2026.

  • Admit Card: Expected in the first week of May 2026.

  • Important Requirement: For ICAR seats, you must ensure you have selected the specific subject combinations (PCB, PCM, PCMB, or ABC) that match your Class 12 subjects.

  • Counselling: ICAR-specific counselling usually begins in September 2026 at icarcounseling.com.

📝 Eligibility Criteria for 2026

  • UG (CUET): No strictly defined age limit for the exam itself, but must have passed 10+2 with at least 50% marks (40% for SC/ST/PwD).

  • Domicile: You must be an Indian National.

The ICAR system manages seats in prestigious institutes, including:

  • IARI (Indian Agricultural Research Institute), New Delhi

  • NDRI (National Dairy Research Institute), Karnal

  • IVRI (Indian Veterinary Research Institute), Izatnagar

  • CIFE (Central Institute of Fisheries Education), Mumbai

  • Various State Agricultural Universities (SAUs) and Central Agricultural Universities (CAUs).
