Gujarat Common Entrance Test

As of March 12, 2026, the registration window for GUJCET 2026 has officially closed. The late-fee window concluded on January 16. The focus is now on the final countdown for the examination, which takes place in just over two weeks.

GUJCET is the state-level entrance exam conducted by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB). It is the mandatory gateway for degree Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) and Pharmacy (B.Pharm/D.Pharm) programs in Gujarat.

  • Admit Card Release: Expected March 23, 2026.

  • Examination Date: March 29, 2026 (Sunday).

📝 Exam Day Structure

The exam is an offline (OMR-based) test conducted in English, Hindi, and Gujarati. It consists of 120 total questions (40 per subject) with a marking scheme of +1 for correct answers and -0.25 for incorrect answers.

Session Timings (March 29):

  • Physics & Chemistry (Combined): 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM (80 Questions).

  • Biology: 01:00 PM – 02:00 PM (40 Questions).

  • Mathematics: 03:00 PM – 04:00 PM (40 Questions).

🎓 Admission Weightage (ACPC)

For B.Tech admissions in Gujarat, the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) determines merit based on the following:

  • 60% Weightage: Class 12 Board Theory marks (PCM).

  • 40% Weightage: GUJCET Percentile score.
